The School Library first opened its doors in 1963 with an initial collection of 30 volumes of books, many of which were donations.Miss Paz de la Cruz and Miss Rosario Monasterio both P.E. teachers were assigned to manage interchangeably the library from 1967-1973.

In 1974, Mrs. Alejandra Bulay was hired as the first school librarian and organized the first library collection. During its first year of operation, the library occupied the 2nd floor of the old administration building, with a seating capacity of 100 which houses a reading area, a small textbook collection, and a librarian’s corner.

The idea of putting up a separate library building began back in1999 under the leadership of Dr. Clemente Cablao. One million (1M) was donated by Cong. Libanan for the first phase of the construction of the new building. It was in September 2003 the work began as another 1 million intended for the partial completion of the new Campus library. Construction commenced in 2005 but due to lack of funds, work came to a halt.It has inside features: Porch, Baggage Counter, Circulation Counter, Librarian’s Office, Audio-Visual-Room, Reading Are a and Comfort Rooms for Boys and Girls.

It was only in 2006 that the construction resumes and finishes the Campus Library under the administration of Dr. Tirso A. Morante. Finally, the new library building which had a total floor area of 651.00 sq. and was 2 times bigger than the old one was occupied year 2008.

Just over 3 years into its operation, a super typhoon Yolanda hit the province. Everything was washed out that includes the collection, equipment and the building. The library temporarily o ccupied at Annex II former office of the Dean of (BSIT, and EMD) and later was transferred to the 2nd floor of the Administration Building until a new building was erected in 2015.

In 2016 the campus has a new Library Building which has a floor area of 345, 000, 00 sq. It was inaugurated last January of 2016 by the Congressman of Eastern Samar Hon. Ben P. Evardone, together with the Campus Administrator Dr. Andres C, Pagatpatan, Jr. and other key officials of the campus. It has the following facilities: Discussion room, E-learning, AV-Room, Librarian’s Office and Stock Room.

The Library has a lot of things to be done as the library aims to continuously upgrade and modernize its services and facilities to cater the changing times and the demands of the students for more diverse sources in different formats and in a broad range of subject areas.
